As you may already know, Max and I went to Chicago last week for a conference. Due to Squelcher's unexpected illness and the low turnout due to the mid-week meeting time, we decided to blow off Bolo and proceed directly to drinking. Here's how it went.

<Jolo> so finally he goes "Hey there they are!"
<Jolo> i'm like yeah right
<Jolo> then this big chinese guy taps me on the shoulder
<Jolo> i'm like wtf

<Jolo> didn't expect LR at all
<Jolo> it was sam jiang
<vert> he's not big
<Jolo> he's bigger than me
<Jolo> i mean he's like 5 11, healthy build
<vert> are you serious?

<Jolo> well anyways
<Jolo> behind him is this huge short guy

<Jolo> but the 2 of them looked so out of place in the yuppie bar

<Jolo> was recommending all sorts of good beerz & scotches
<Jolo> so anyway finally i can barely talk, it was getting late, had to get up next AM yada yada
<Jolo> i pay the whole bill as promised
<Jolo> i wake up next AM and can't talk
<Jolo> barely make it through my presentation
<Jolo> now i'm on the 5th antibiotic in the last 2 months
<Jolo> but it was worth it
<Jolo> that place rox rox rox
<Jolo> hope it wasn't too cold by the frozen fountain where u waited for hours :)

[ We had been teasing vert for weeks to drive 4 hours to meet us, this after his painful experience doing the same last year. While at Chicago, we got on IRC and vert joked, "I'll meet you guys by that big fountain." ]
