IBL Week 7: Doin' da newbie bump

Fellow IBL players,

Sunday night we were again 1 short of 3 divisions: I was too sick to
play, WD lagged out, Nutz was late and several people like Max and
eldoce were seen switching servers from #bolo but never made it to #ibl,
or else who knows we might've had 4 divs.  We invoked the new division
making system and bumped Ian and Magrathea.  The result was a reasonable
Div 1 (Guy Cliffa BMaster TEWE), but Div 2 may have set a new IBL record
-- Fish was done pulvering tzunami, ultraman, and Krempic in < 25
minutes!  On Monday, the weird lopsidedness I mentioned last week
continued -- all 6 players were from either the top or bottom of the
rankings.  Krempic and Magrathea were bumped.  Magrathea had a rain
check from the previous night, but putting him in would've resulted in a
slaughter against the likes of BM, Hoov, and Nutz, so he opted to wait
until next week to use his rain check.  Will went down 0-3 in good
games.  Due to the many mismatches the point changes in all the games
were relatively small.

The new division making system seems to be working OK for now... the
real test will be next week when 3 people will probably show up with
rain checks on the same night (Ian, Krempic, Magrathea).  For now we'll
stick to this system.

The bolofest action was again not formally organized, partly due to the
mysterious absence of the Stanford crowd.  Pins and Flag did make it
over here to Duke to join Max.  Pins and Flag played at Duke from 7:30
to past 1 am.  Here's an account from Pins:
