IBL Week 8 & 9: Double Trouble

IBL people,

Due to my extended Thanksgiving trip plus a long conference in Chicago,
I have been away for nearly 2 weeks.  I decided to combine the 5
divisions across the last 2 weeks (8 and 9) as if they were played
within the same week, with no updating of ratings in between since
that's how week 9's divisions were formed.

Week 8 Sunday was marked by the surprise return of the brother team of
Sev and Lance, who along with Guy almost made it an all-Michigan team
except for Cliffa.  Lance went down 0-3 (rust sux).  Fish again
slaughtered a bunch of newer players, breaking his own record of 3 wins
in 30 mins in week 7, this time finishing the fastest IBL division ever
in only 16 minutes!  On Monday, there was total chaos (glad to see it
happens to Will too, heh).  There were 9 people so Samhain left right
away (dammit don't do that).  That left DIV 1: BMaster Hoov Drad
tzunami, DIV 2: ultraman Krempic Ian Magrathea.  Sure enough Drad lagged
out of div 1, requiring an emergency upgrade of ultraman who was lagging
in div 2 anyway.  Middlebury guys take note: we can't always put you
into one division.  If you just want to play with each other, do so and
don't IBL.  Anyway Krempic Ian Magrathea got rain checks.

Week 9 was Thanksgiving weekend.  I wasn't sure if we wanted to cancel,
but since Will was around we figured we'd let people play.  On Sunday,
Will didn't get there until 5:50.  The 4 people there nevertheless had
not organized themselves into a division -- COME ON people!  Anyway TEWE
picked up where Fish left off and won against the Middlebury Trio.  On
Monday, 6 people again couldn't organize themselves properly without
Will interceding (sensing a little frustration here?).  After a few
switches, BMaster Drad Krempic Ian played and Drad upset BM for major
points.

Well it's almost time for week 10 (the final week), I better run.  I'll
post logs on our Chicago Beerfest later.
