IBL lives!

The basic idea is to get IBL going under the old rules, then make any necessary adjustments. The role of the organizers will be very much de-emphasized, both to keep us sane and to return power to the masses. Feedback will be faster with more automation. Lag will be better because we deserve it, dammit.

  1. Will and I are the co-organizers of this 3rd season of IBL.

  2. You may play at the old time slots, Sunday and/or Monday at 8 pm EST.

  3. The season will premiere Sunday 2/25 and run for up to 10 weeks.

  4. To play on a Sunday or Monday night, just show up on #IBL on IRC EFnet by 8 pm EST. The ratings will be available for live viewing. People will form teams on their own instead of relying on me. (Just go down the list of whoever is present at 8 pm EST and form divisions in groups of 4.)

  5. Once divisions are formed, the top seed is responsible (like last season) for forming game, dealing with *all* contingencies such as "oh shit my dog is puking blood I gotta take her to the vet", and reporting results. More on reporting results later, probably on the web page.

  6. After each game, you may calculate your new ratings immediately on the web page, if not by 2/25 then hopefully soon after.

That's it! Show up at or before 8 pm EST, and let's bolo! Direct all questions to me: email form.
