In a demonstration of how things do go relatively smoothly every now and then, we had 22 players over 2 nights, exceeding 3 divisions each night (2-3 people were turned away each night because they showed up too late). Div 8a2 was ruined by lag, but all the others played out all games.

Guy roxed in 8a1 and moved up to claim #2 spot right behind Samhain. BM has a heartbreak of a weekend, going 1-5 in div 1 both nights, dropping 206 points and 8 ranks (out of the top 10). Ender returns to IBL, and the prodigal son gains 135 points in a tough 2-1 show in 8b1 against Santa, BM, and CB. Mel stays up to 5 am UK time and wins 3-0 in 8b2 against fellow Euro Mel and Nutz and Bob. Returning to IBL after a long hiatus, Codbutt loses 0-3 against Fish, Ghoul, and Flag. The apparent mismatch and Ghoul's persistent ability to get playing time in spite of his lag reflects the quirky results of our rule to make divisions by order of appearance. Will cleans up in 8b3, gaining 149 points and 6 ranks against irregulars HayDuke, long time absent OO7, and newcomer Drad.
