¶ MONOMATIC CASTERS were state of the art. This one shown was installed in the casting department of Mackenzie-Harris Corporation, San Francisco. Mainly it was tarped down and to my recollection was used only for particular settings.
The Monomatic system was a breakthrough in flexibility. The matrix case could hold many alphabets. Great freedom was offered by a divorced wedge that made the unit rows independent of the matrix case. View the Lanston Monomatic Keyboard.
