¶ ROBERT NORTON, Type Director, Microsoft ® in early spring. Norton was pruning "my" ivy off "my" Northland Letterpress sign at "my great personal protest". This was on one of many his visits to the Lanston Type Company.
Wonderful days were passed between us. We both enjoyed similar things including poetry. I stayed at Norton's in Seattle, Microsoft was a most generous host. Norton loaned me a book of poetry by the famous typographer Robert Bringhurst. Couldn't put the book down, lost a little shut eye.
Norton and I would sneak over to the old Waldorf Hotel on Hastings street for a quality Martini, (We both liked olives.) and the famous Waldorfian chicken curry.
There is just nothing like olives and curry.
