GELATIN INK ROLLER
I LANSTON TYPE COMPANY I GERALD GIAMPA I ¶ INK BRAYER on a brass ink slab. The brayer is used for pulling a quick proof on a small proof press, in this case a Nowland. Most design time was spent working in this area. Nowlands were simple and effective. Giampa had been trained to pull reproduction proofs on a proof planer. That takes some skill. However the brayer shown here would not be suitable for such work, it is too worn out. |
