TITLE PAGE, Canto VIII, The Letter of Sigismundo Malatesta to Giovanni de Medici by Ezra Pound. Giampa's Cobblestone Press published this text in conjunction with New Directions, New York and Omar Pound, Ezra's son.

Omar Pound was very excited about the edition and sent Giampa a finely printed edition of his own poetry printed by the Stinehour Press in Vermont. Stinehour also used Granjon ornaments in the design of Omar's book.

The publishing of Canto VIII, The Letter of Sigismundo Malatesta to Giovanni de Medici was limited to only one hundred copies. Ten went to Pound's own family some of which were forwarded to special collection libraries holding Ezra Pound's manuscripts.

Sales were very brisk, no copies were available one week after the first purchase. The volume commanded a very respectable price. Linea Gentry, typographer and owner of Amaranth Press, San Francisco gave Giampa's design and craftmanship the highest of reviews in Fine Print magazine even though works so small, by policy, were not supposed to be considered.

It was a single signature.
