¶ MANTE, GOLDSCHMIDT BOOK: Cobblestone Press printers and publishers co-published this book with the Vancouver Art Gallery.
The book has an interesting history for me.
Nick Schwabe printed the plates. When I first met Nick he was a Swiss immigrant printer who had just set up shop in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver, British Columbia. This is where I began my professional training in the printing industry.
I rented the same premises setting up my own shop some years later.
Also this is the first book I produced using the Monotype system.

¶ I THINK I WOULD FIT RIGHT IN, after all I was born in a tent. This book was estimated, designed, typeset, printed and bound in six days. I just couldn't wait for my glass of wine.
