¶ METROPOLITAN ROMAN was designed by Bruce Rogers in 1914. This face is a re-working of Montaigne an earlier Rogers type design. Originally it was cut by Robert Wiebking of BB&S as a private typeface for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
