Lanston's Punchcutting Room
¶ OBELISK GOTHIC was designed by the Lanston Drawing Office. This face is a reconstruction of Spire drawn by Sol Hess. The skeleton of Spire Roman stands with the serifs removed.
However Obelisk has its' own meritorious advantages. This face has frequented various major advertising promotions. Interestingly both Spire and Obelisk have enjoyed positioning as the masthead type face of different fashion magazines.
