Game outcomes

Note - There was actually a 4th division on Wednesday, but there were 3 new
players involved and I didn't find this out until I already updated all of
the following. It would be a huge hassle to redo everything, so instead I'm
going to add the 3 people as new players for next week, and we will just
pretend that their games on Wednesday were actually played on Sunday. It will
all still count, but just with a delay. For the record, Div 8b4 was:

Factoids:

- We had 2 divisions on Sunday and 3 on Wednesday, but there were only
12 people. How is this possible? All 8 people who played on Sunday also
played on Wednesday, but 4 more people showed on Wednesday resulting in
some interesting reshuffling of divisions. For example, stimpy finally
got his chance to play in Div 1 on Sunday, yet was in Div 3 on Wednesday.

- In 4 out of 5 divisions over both nights, the bottom seed went 0-3. In
all 4 of those divisions, the top seed went 2-1 but lost points because
the game he lost was the crucial "hump game".

- We had 2 interesting almost mirror image divisions. First, compare 8a1
(Sun Div 1) to 8b2 (Wed Div 2). The top 3 seeds were identical (AJR
Smeagol ace), and only the bottom seed varied: stimpy and dapound,
respectively. In 8a1 the bottom stimpy went 0-3, while in 8b2 the top
seed AJR went 3-0. You can see how the IBL rating system works by
looking at who gained/lost points in each situation. 

- Likewise, compare 8a2 (Sun Div 2) to 8b3 (Wed Div 3), here the lower 3
seeds were identical (trick ihauflad BlueThunder), and the top seed
varied: (you guessed it) dapound and stimpy. In this comparison,
BlueThunder went 0-3 both times so the ratings changes were similar. If
you haven't yet, you really should play with the game reporting form on
the web site to understand these kinds of interactions. Think of it like
fantasy IBL. :)
